While I love joining the Sunday Night Chit-Chat, I'm not too happy it's Sunday night again :-( Why can't we have 1 long weekend per month??? My next day off is the first Monday in March...........
What are you reading?
No new book yet :-(
Store flyers to plan my shopping strategy for tomorrow! My store is having a $1, $2 and $3 sale... I especially plan on stocking up on butter :-)

What are you watching?
I am still doing my Friday night movie event (I watched L'Invité that I've PVRd a couple Sundays ago... it was very funny). I watched another one this afternoon that I highly recommend, it is actually available for free on Rogers on Demand if anyone has that. It's called Incendies:

What are you listening to?
I hear hockey in the background... in the car during my commute to work I am listening to Alex Cross' Trial by James Patterson. I never read the book but as an audio book it's not bad.
What are you cooking/baking?
I made a double batch of spaghetti and sauce for lunch today and lunches tomorrow (for my sis and I) and for dinner I made 2 bar clam casseroles (bar clams, cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheese over a bed of mashed potato scoops) and a loaf of bread ... my mom is sick with pneumonia (but doing much better since Friday) so I figured my dad would enjoy this.
Happy you accomplished this week?
I'm proud of my low spending, plus I got lots done around the house. I also wrote up a report on my trip to France, almost ready to post it (just need to stick pictures in!)
Looking forward to next week?
A warm day (+9 C on Tuesday!), starting my new exercise regime (treadmill) and my new TV might show up!
Thankful for today?
A nice day at home... sleeping in til 9, a quiet morning sipping some coffee, a captivating movie, laundry all done and I was able to help out my parents... Also, my back pain is gone, so a much better Sunday than last week!
I hope you all have a great week :-) Anyone who wants to join this chit-chat can go to Carla's blog for more info :-)

I enjoyed reading what you are doing,
Gill
I'm so tired of this wonky weather! -30 with the windchill, up to 9 above!
I'd stock up on butter too! lol! I'm so glad your back is feeling better & your mom is on the mend!! I'm going to see if we have that movie on demand here! Thanks for the review!
Spaghetti sounds so good right now!
I can't believe we're already past the halfway point in January! I STILL haven't put together my spending log for 2012. I do have all my receipts, and no, there aren't a lot since i've been trying not to spend but goodness! I hope to get this done before the end of the month.
megan
megan, good luck! I found that getting started was the worst part, now it's not so bad... I still go 2 days without writing sometimes, but every receipt is in the little book in my purse :-)
Ya, tell me about it!! December was a slog and January just zips by with no warning!!
Incendies: The flashback scene where the mother is collapsed in the sand, after the bus has blown up and she is the last one - I can't get that image out of my mind.
