Ouch

We had ice and rain overnight, so it's not surprising that I wiped out majorly on my way to my car this morning. I had coffee on my coat, a very wet butt (had to go back in to change) and while I fell hard on my left hip, it's the right hand side of my lower back that hurts....... I see a very hot bath, epsom salts and a couple Tylenol PM a little later tonight. I'm so clumsy!!!

On top of this, my good friend at work (different office, but we keep in touch by text or phone) is mad at me for a misunderstanding. GREAT!

All this happened this morning... I thought I might as well have stayed in bed.

There were some good things to come out of today though:
  • a new recipe for healthier chocolate chip cookies (from Food Network magazine... they have oatmeal and flax in them). I'll have to share or freeze cuz it made like 4 doz!
  • I cashed out another gift cards on Swagbucks, making it 5 x $5 amazon.ca gift certificate and a $25 PayPal this month (the secret is letting swagtv run while I watch tv)
  • a no spend day
  • my retired coworker's replacement is still great to work with... we're the same age so it's neat too (have a lot more in common than ex-coworker who was 26 years older!)
  • faith enough that I won't overspend before my next pay (Feb 2nd) that I sent another $250 to my car loan and an extra $130 to my emergency fund. I'm meeting most of my January goals already!
Can we fast forward to the weekend now??!!

Oh, ouch! Sure hope you're feeling better soon and you don't bruise too badly (ice pack!). You may have knocked yourself a little out of joint, which is why your right hip hurts...Sorry to hear your friend is upset with you, too. I hope you can work it out!

Well done with everything else, though...and if you want to post the cookie recipe, I'm okay with that! ;)

I'm going to send a big ole pkg. of bubble wrap in the mail! ;) You need those hiking boots with metal cleats on the bottom! lol! Other than that you're doing great with your goals!

On no! Hope you are feeling better soon! I feel on the ice the other day as well. It's dangerous out there. ;)

when you fell did you look around to make sure no one was watching? I always do because I always feel like a fool!!

Good news on making the extra payments!!

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope it doesn't cause you too much pain. I hear you about the weekend... I am ready!

Oh so sorry you took a tumble. And by the sound of it, it may hurt for a while! I think the hot bath, epsom salts and tylenol is a great idea.

You are doing so great this month! You'll have that car loan paid off before you know it!

Thanks for the swagbucks tip, I'll have to start paying attention to that again!

Ouch.
I am glad you did not break anything, save that for old age!
I am also glad your new co-worker is so much better than the "other" one.
Hopefully your miscommunication will be fixed by weeks end. Don t forget......get a lottery ticket just in case!

Ouch!!!

Hope you are ok, glad you think nothing is broken. It is so easy for this type of accident to happen.
Sounds like you are doing great with your goals and I'm going to check out the new cookie recipe.
I've have the week from hell, so I booked Friday off to do some fun stuff for myself. Cookie baking will probably be one of them.

CS,
snow cleats. I use mine nearly all winter long, and they have saved me from falling a$$ over teakettle time and time again.

I do hope you've worked out the misunderstanding.

Good going on your goals, and i'm glad to hear your replacement co-worker is so nice.

If i lived closer, i'd take some of those cookies off your hands! LOL

Are you getting ready for another storm on Friday? The sidewalks and side roads are very icy, I'm been doing the shuffle walking to the car! I hope you heal fast!

Hope you feel better-I can tell you baths have been helping my back lately!!

Is there an easier way to use Swagtv? I seem to only find 2-3 minute clips that only give 1 swagbuck per clip, meaning I have to constantly click on new ones...I end up getting bored (or forgetting) about this pretty quickly. Are you running longer clips that get more swagbucks?

The last time I fell hard on the ice, I got a concussion, and I had to take 28 girls around the State of Montana on a school bus. I threw up for days.

Thanks everyone!! Thankfully I didn't feel much pain the days after the fall... lucky!!

NLA, here is the recipe:

The Witch, enjoy your LONG weekend :-) Baking and EATING cookies should help :-)

sam, seems your part of the province is getting more snow... we'll probably get a mess!

AMD, for swagtv, I let it run until I see the progress bar move to the next 10th... it takes 10 vids to get 3 SB. Lenghty but when I'm watching tv or doing something I don't have to concentrate on, I find it's an easy way to increase my balance :-)
